Welcome to Woodland Ice Center
Nestled in the heart of Kalispell's Woodland Park, Woodland Ice Rink is your local outdoor destination for winter fun. Operated by the Flathead Valley Hockey Association, the rink offers a classic Montana skating experience—surrounded by trees, fresh air, and community spirit. Open seasonally from November through February (weather permitting), the rink hosts youth hockey practices, games, and tournaments, along with open skate times for the public. Whether you're learning to skate or cheering from the boards, Woodland Ice Rink is where winter memories are made.

Large Group Reservation Options
Private Group Rental $155 / hour (40 people)
Skate Rentals $3/pair
School Groups (weekdays) $100 / hour - includes entrance fee and skate rental. Fee does not include snow removal or ice resurfacing.
All users need to sign waiver.

- FVHA members pay the same Open Skate fee as the public.

Learn to Skate
Learn To Ice Skate
Kalispell Parks and Recreation hosts beginner skate lessons with a focus on making skating fun while learning basic skating skills development. Lessons are taught in a group format, often taught by local high school hockey players and skaters. The lessons are designed to teach the basic fundamentals of skating so individuals can continue on in recreational skating or youth hockey.

Ages: 5+
Days: Tuesdays &Thursdays (four lessons per session)
Times: 3:50 pm-4:15 pm or 4:20 pm-4:45 pm
Fee: $66.50 per session (Includes skate rental. Must provide own helmet)
